Alex Deghan, a Rubenstein Fellow at Duke from 2014 to 2016, has just released a new book: The Snow Leopard Project and other Adventures in Warzone Conservation. Dehgan began working on the book, which recounts his efforts to create a wildlife conservation program in war-torn Afghanistan in the mid-2000s, while serving as a Rubenstein Fellow. Dehgan is now the CEO and co-Founder of Conservation X Labs, as well as the Chanler Innovator in Residence at Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Reviews of his book can be found on Nature and NPR.
